2014: New Year New Me BS

Okay, so it is indeed the time of the year again - the time where people take the 'opportunity' to reinvent a whole new identity to oneself.

Necessary or unnecessary?

I have gone past enough New Years to realize that a New Year is not the time to reinvent or make up an entire list of bollocks/new personalities to yourself because it doesn't last. Boy, trust me - it won't even work after Day 2.

Below are the things I've tried changing/implementing to myself in the past (at least) 3 New Years ago:

a) 2013: To be more patient, hardworking, utilize time with relevant activities such as reading more, get a 5 figure paying job, sleep earlier, no partying so much, less alcohol, cook more
b) 2012: To be more patient, hardworking, utilize time with relevant activities such as reading more, get a 5 figure paying job, sleep earlier, no partying so much, less alcohol, cook more
c) 2011: To be more patient, hardworking, utilize time with relevant activities such as reading more, get a 5 figure paying job, sleep earlier, no partying so much, less alcohol, cook more

Can you identify a pattern there? YES! Each year, we will subconsciously be making similar if not exact same resolutions because the problem here is we are merely listing down what we want instead of how we want to realize our wishes! (Also, deciding on concrete goals instead of a general picture would help too)

So in the year 2014, here are my goals:

a) Want my Social Media department to kick off in a good start by having the first real estate video to go viral
b) Get an increase in YouTube subscribers to minimum 150 people within the first month
c) Socialize more with socialites and elites of the community
d) Read more articles on LinkedIn and magazines
e) Watch more youtube videos for marketing/advertisements
f) To be the corporate woman in the making with such classy manners and increase in communication skills
g) An increase in salary! Very important cause everything is more expensive!

Whats yours readers? Now, I want you lot to make up concrete goals - something that you can really achieve.

Wishing you all the best and good luck!

Cheers,
oxoxo
